Team 11688
Welcome to the Dads Club Rebel Recode Robotics website. We are a robotics team based in a community center in Glendale, California. Our team is made up of 7-12th grades and one awesome fourth grader!

About Our Robotics Team
We started our Robotics Club in 2010 at the VW Dads’ Club in Glendale, California, and they have sponsored our team ever since. We formed our first robotics team in 2010 to compete in the Glendale Unified School District’s annual Robotics Tournanment and we took first and third place. Two years later, when our senior members moved on to middle school, we started competing in the FIRST Lego League robotics competition. We participated in that competition and eventually we won first and second place. We were one of the very rare community teams to compete in the Mini Urban Challenge two years later. This is our second year of competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge and it’s an exciting new learning experiance for our team.

Our Robotics Club
Our Robotics Club is divided into squads within the team.
Programming – This squad is in charge of creating the program using MIT App Inventor and Blocks that we can use to move the robot.
Engineering – The engineering squad builds the hardware of the robot using certified FTC parts provided by Tetrix, AndyMark, and RevRobotics.
Media Team – Our Media squad uses WordPress, Canva, GIMP, Youtube, and iMovie in order to maintain a constant media presence by creating youtube videos, posting on Instagram, and frequently updating our website.
Business Team – Our Business squad is in charge of outreach and managing finance by using mostly Google Drive applications and calling for donations.
